Craig Colley to Debut New Band Labor Day Weekend in Dana Point

Laguna Niguel, CA, August 25, 2010 - Craig Colley, a popular longtime Orange County musician and entertainer, will be debuting his new band, “CC3”, at Harpoon Henry’s in Dana Point Labor Day weekend Sept. 3rd & 4th from 9:00 – 12:00 pm.

CC3 features Craig Colley (formerly known as Eddie Kidd) on lead vocals, acoustic/electric guitar, piano and harmonica. The trio is completed by electric bass player/vocalist Joe Dolci and drummer/vocalist Gus Moratinos. CC3 is packed full of great arrangements and 3 part harmonies and plays an array of music from Green Day, Cold Play, Matchbox 20 to The Eagles, Elton John, Billy Joel, the Beatles along with a variety of classic and contemporary rock, country, blues, sing-alongs and original music. The extensive professional careers and musical backgrounds of CC3 make it a fun and entertaining live musical experience.

As front man, Craig is known to connect with and involve his audiences in his performances. Craig started his music career at the age of 11 and majored in music at Northern Illinois University. He began his full time professional career in 1977 and has traveled across North America, Europe, and Korea playing over 12,000 gigs. Craig has an extensive songwriting career which includes writing music for VH1, ABC & CBS television shows and has recorded 6 albums of original music along with producing many albums for local artists at his recording facility, Coliday Productions. He is also the author of a best selling “how to” book for aspiring musicians entitled “You Can Make Money In Music” (available on Amazon.com) and holds a Guinness World Record as a member of the first underwater rock & roll band (circa 1989).





Working with Craig, band member Joe Dolci is an accomplished composer, published songwriter, singer, bassist and pianist and has worked with pro artists and songwriters. Joe’s roots are in rock and early classical training and he has been creating and performing music in a variety of styles including rock, pop, jazz and classical since he started playing piano and electric bass at the age of 9. Joe received his Bachelor of Arts at The Brooklyn
Conservatory of Music and has composed and published several songs for Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company.

Bringing his talent to the new band, Gus Moratinos studied drums & percussion with Luis Conte and Chuck Silverman at the prestigious Grove School of Music in Studio City, Ca. Throughout the years he has worked with such diverse artists as Duff McKagan, ZZYZX, Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Corey Feldman, Dick Dale, Maxine Nightingale, Sol Reflexion, John Parr (St. Elmo's Fire), and Chris Dane Owens and has collaborated with members of The Doors, America, Marvin Gaye, Eddie Money, Ozzy Osbourne, Allan Holdsworth, The Fab Four and The Beach Boys.

In his solo act, Craig performs on acoustic guitar, piano and harmonica (no background or karaoke tracks) and includes songs from Green Day, Dave Mathews, Cold Play, Matchbox 20, The Eagles, Elton John, Billy Joel, the Beatles along with a variety of classic rock, country, blues, sing-alongs and original music.

When asked why he decided not to return under the persona of Eddie Kidd, Colley simply explains, “Honestly, it’s easier in a way to be someone else on stage. It was successful, fun and a good fit in those days, but times change and so have I. Now after a 10 year hiatus from performing live I have a new approach to entertaining and have moved on from my Eddie Kidd “glory days” so to speak.” He adds, “I still have a great time with my audiences and I hope to see a lot of my old fans as I continue to perform around the south O.C. area.”

Colley started his music career in 1966 at the age of 11 and has since performed over 12,000 gigs. After majoring in music at Northern Illinois University, Craig began his full time professional career in 1977 as a traveling musician and songwriter performing all across North America, Europe, and Korea. As a songwriter/composer Craig has written over 600 songs, recorded 6 albums and has written music for VH1, ABC & CBS television shows. He has also produced numerous albums for local artists at his recording facility, Coliday Productions.

Craig has written a book on self-promotion/entertaining for musicians called "You Can Make Money in Music" (published through Hal Leonard Publications and available at Amazon.com). He also appeared as an actor in many TV & radio commercials and made a few appearances on the CBS show ‘Young and the Restless’ and as a comic at several comedy venues including The Improv. He also holds a world record and is pictured in the Guinness Book of World Records for being a member of the first under-water Rock & Roll band- “Atlantis”. (Circa 1989)

Local Laguna Niguel Business Owner Returns to the Spotlight.

Laguna Niguel, CA, February 19, 2010- Craig Colley, CEO/Founder of Coliday, Inc (dba Pix & Dubs) a multi-faceted corporation with business divisions specializing in Photo/Media Services located in the heart of Laguna Niguel, re-launches his performance and songwriting career after a 10 year hiatus. Colley will be performing his solo act at Bistro K (located in Town Center- www.thebistrok.com ) Saturday, February 27th from 7pm to 10 pm in addition to other local venues.
